First Things to Try

Most issues are caused by a conflicting plugin or theme. When diagnosing an issue, first try deactivating all plugins but Panorama. If this fixes the issue you know there is a conflicting plugin. Reactivate each plugin one by one until the problem returns. This will identify which plugin is at fault.

If this doesn’t fix your issue, try switching your theme to Twenty Thirteen or Twenty Fourteen. If this fixes the issue you know there is a conflict with your existing theme.

When I login from a project page it takes me to a page other than the project?

This is caused when you have another plugin installed that alters the WordPress login process. Plugins like WP-Client overtake the normal login process and often will prevent Panorama from returning you to the proper login page. Try deactivating your plugins to see if this fixes the login issue.

When I activate Panorama my WordPress editor breaks

If you are using Panorama Lite, upgrade to the most recent version. Otherwise this is almost always caused by a conflicting plugin or theme.

I want to use Panorama with a different language

We currently have a few translations built into Project Panorama. If you’d like to use a language not currently bundled, download POEdit (it’s free). Open POEdit and load in the primary file in the project-panorama/languages folder. This will allow you to create a translation for your language. Save your translation into the /languages file. If you’ve performed a translations, we’d love to include it into the plugin so please contact us for more information.

Something looks off when I use a shortcode

Unfortunately we can’t guarantee that your theme won’t alter how we intended the shortcodes to display. We’ve tried our best to make them compatible with most themes, but there are some out there that use heavy handed styling. Luckily you can typically fix these issues by manually adjusting your theme’s style.css file. It’s best to leave this work to professionals and the subject is too broad to describe exactly what must be done. Consider attending a local WordPress meetup to find someone who can assist you if you need theme alteration.

I can’t upload files using the Front End Uploader add-on

This almost always happens because of upload size restrictions with a website host. Try uploading a small file first (like a text file.) If that uploads OK, contact your website host and ask how you can increase the maximum file upload size. Typically this is an easy process.
